Most of the samples from the Surgery are tested in the labs at Withybush Hospital. Test results for blood and urine tests are usually available after 2-3 working days, depending on what the test was for and where the sample needed to be sent (some go to Carmarthen or Cardiff). The Doctor or Nurse taking the sample will be able to tell you how to get your results.
Some results will not be disclosed over the telephone, regardless of the result. We may book a follow-up appointment for you to discuss the results in detail with a Doctor or Nurse.
To ensure confidentiality, we only release results to the patient, unless alternative arrangements have been formally agreed in advance.
