FLU VACCINATION PROGRAMME:
Our flu vaccination programme for eligible patients is nearing completion at the Surgery; and eligible housebound patients are being contacted by the District Nurses and the Health Board’s community vaccination team to arrange vaccination at home.
COVID AUTUMN BOOSTER VACCINATION PROGRAMME:
Our covid autumn booster vaccination programme for the Over 65s is also nearing completion – this cohort of patients is being offered their covid booster at the Surgery, and our final vaccination clinic will be held on Thursday 14th December 2023.
Eligible patients aged Under 65 are being invited for vaccination at Solva Surgery. Eligible housebound patients are being contacted by the District Nurses and the Health Board’s community vaccination team to arrange vaccination at home.
SHINGLES VACCINATION PROGRAMME:
Prior to September 2023, shingles vaccinations were available on the NHS for all adults in their 70s – but now, the age you can be vaccinated against shingles has changed and you can be protected from an earlier age. The vaccine is being offered to eligible patients via a phased national programme – the Surgery will contact you to make an appointment when you become eligible.
